camp food

Camp Food

When we went to camp one of the thing that I was most looking forward to was cooking our own food.

The reason for this is because I love cooking for other people.

The things that I cooked was: for breakfast one morning was pancakes and then the next morning I cooked french toast which is my favourite to eat for breakfast. Then on the last night I was cooking Stuffed potatoes. I was  looking forward to this because it is one of my favourite meals  for dinner and I love to cook it.

The most enjoyable thing about cooking was hearing that comments that my group gave me and how when i came to sit at the table there was no noise everyone was just eating. It was a great feeling and I highly recommend if you go on camp saying to your teachers “can we make our own meals”. Because you get to try new life skills.

Omaka Camp

Omaka camp

Hospitality
Omaka is great if you want a relaxing night away with great bedding,
Kitchen facilities, a big hall for dining and another hall for a play/sleeping area, it also includes new toilets and showers.

Outdoors
At Omaka camp there is lots of opportunity for confidence building especially in the outdoors such as an obstacle course to test your limits, a big and fast flying fox, a stream to cool you down that is home to eels that love your attention. Also a fun day out at the lake which is a 2 minute walk, where you can hire water activities such as kayaks and paddleboards. There is also is  lots of room for team building. If you want an fun and  exciting few nights away I would highly recommend Omaka camp.

Project 7 Day Friday 3rd June

In the morning I was getting my glasses at Anstice & Associates.  After that I went shopping with Mum. We went to Street Legal to get some boots for winter. We looked at about 7 different types of ankle boots. In the end I got some black ankle boots. When I got back to school there was already people doing chicken group. So I went to team South to see if they needed any help. They said yes, so I read some stories and cut out some poems. Then it was Lunch time.

Clubs

Clubs
This team I am in the scrapbooking club.  I chose  this club  because I like craft but I am not that good at it. So I wound to try to get better.

Payton and I are doing a fold out scrapbook of our ponies. First we got our paper and cut it to the right size. Then we glued the paper together and started to fold it in a spring formation.

Next Friday I am going to start putting  the photos in the frames and start to decorate it with stickers and words.

I enjoyed the freedom of being able to choose our way to present it and what we get to bass it around.

My goal for this club is to learn how to get better at craft and to enjoy it.

In the weekend I went to the Hawarden show on my pony Eve.
My pony eve is a 11 year old bay mare.
In the morning we had to get up at 4:30am and be left at 5:00am because it was on at 7:30.

In the showing I got a 3 3rds , 2 2nds and I won my rider class.
In the afternoon I had the round the ring jumping witch is where there are jumps all around the main ring . In that I got 5th out of 25 people.

After that when I was cooling my pony down this lady came up to me and said that over lunch all of the judgers from all the animals and all the categories came together to decide this price called the Supreme Exhibitor and she said that I have won it. she said that I won it because of my manners and the way that I congratulated my competitors and the way I looked after my pony.

So overall I had a pretty great day!!!
Over the last week I have been reading the magic finger.
It is when a girl was born with a finger that when she got cross with a person it would make them in to a type of animal. A family got turned in to a group of ducks.
That had to make a nest and live in a tree until the spell  wore off.
